SXSW 2008
Day 1:
Started out at the Red-Eyed Fly--stood in line forever, almost passed out when my blood sugar dropped too low. Saw the Ravonettes, A Place to Bury Strangers, Spindrift

This is me and Lara.
These guys were strangers I met in line, but taking photos of people seems to make them less pissed at you for cutting in line. This was Eric or Aaron...
This was Paul
Then abandoned the line. Dinner at Stubb's BBQ. Yummy. Sidebar was our next stop. There, we met a band from Ohio, I don't remember the name of the band, but I remember their names. This was Kenny and Jenny.
This is Kenny and JamieAnd Jamie and Charlie
Now for me and Rebecca
After that at 2am, we went to the Children's Museum of Austin to see a band. No matter who I asked, no one could tell me who they were. It was kind of surreal and creepy seeing a band in the Children's Museum. After about an hour I had to grab a cab. And that was the end of day 1.
Day 2:
We decided on Day 2 to make up for all the money we had spent the day before, to hang out at the Fader Fort where they had free Stella all day long. Definitely took advantage. There we saw These New Puritans, Langhorne Slim, and The Stills. I loved Langhorne Slim, have since bought 2 of his CDs. Here are some photos of the Stills.
Gunner and Lukeand just Gunner:
Day 3:
Waterloo Park for the Mess with Texas 2 party. There we saw Howlin Rain, Grand Ole Party, Darker My Love, Two Gallants, Atlas Sound, Neon Neon, and Black Mountain. Black Mountain was pretty cool.
Brunch at Woodland, yummy mimosas. Shopping on south Congress. Took Jenny to the airport. Bloody Mary's and mimosas at Freddie's Place, and live music, Josh Allen and the Whiskey Brothers. Whew!
Recap:Free Stuff: 4 t-shirts, a keychaina lighter/bottle opener, 2 sweatbands, 2 coozies, a sampler CD from LittleRadio, a book, 5 buttons, 2 packs of smokes
Bought: a vintage 80's dress (we'll see if I can pull it off), CD, Unicorn earrings, 2 vintage necklaces
Casualties: 4 fingernails,a pair of sunglasses, and my body suffered some abuse by me.
I'll post the pictures from the Rayban photo booth tomorrow.

hello
Then I made this heart for Valentines Day.
This was my first knit hat. It came out way too big and will be ripped out. It is the Hot Head pattern from Stitch 'N Bitch: The Knitters Handbook.
Then I crocheted this special gift for my friend Elissa. She liked it and thought it was funny. The pattern can be found here.
And finally I crocheted this hat for myself or a gift, I haven't decided yet. The pattern can be found here.

Happy New Year!
I am making it for a co-worker that loves skunks. I finished an arm today, which is not in the picture.
